Who we are
This website, midwestsiterecon.com, is operated by Midwest Site Recon LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("Midwest Site Recon," "we," "us"). This policy describes information collected through this website. Information you share with us during a project is also handled under that project's signed agreement.
The website is intended for people in the United States.
Information we collect
Project introduction form
When you use the form at Discuss Your Project, you give us:
- your name;
- your work email address;
- your phone number; and
- the city and state of your project.
Scheduling a conversation
After the form, the scheduling page shows a calendar provided by Cal.com. Your name and email address are passed to the calendar so you do not have to type them again. Cal.com receives those details and anything else you enter when you book. When a conversation is booked, rescheduled or cancelled, Cal.com notifies us with the booking reference, the meeting time, the booking status and the attendee email address. We use this to connect the booking to your project introduction.
Messages you send us
If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to include.
Technical information
Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information when your browser requests a page or sends the form, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. The server code that receives the form does not write these request details to its own logs. To limit repeated or automated submissions, it uses a scrambled (keyed hash) form of your IP address in server-process memory. Rate-limit entries expire after about two minutes without use. Expired entries are removed when the limiter next runs, or when the server process ends.
How we use information
- To reply to your project introduction and schedule, prepare for and hold the conversation you book.
- To match calendar bookings, changes and cancellations to the right inquiry.
- To communicate with you about your project and any work we may do for you.
- To keep records of our business communications.
- To operate the website and protect it and the form against abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
Service providers and disclosures
We use these service providers to run the website and handle inquiries:
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the server code that receives the form and calendar notices. (Vercel privacy notice)
- Attio is the customer relationship management (CRM) system where we store your form answers and booking status. (Attio privacy policy)
- Cal.com provides the scheduling calendar and handles the booking details you enter there, including any booking messages it sends. (Cal.com privacy policy)
Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy, and may process it in the United States or other countries where it operates. We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Midwest Site Recon, our customers or others.
Cookies and browser storage
Our own pages do not set cookies and do not load analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking scripts.
Session storage on the form and scheduling pages
The project introduction, scheduling and booking status pages save information in your browser's session storage,
under names that begin with msr:. This keeps the form working as you move between questions and pages.
It can include your answers in progress, the current question, a random inquiry ID, a reference used to check your
booking status, your calendar link, and page timing measurements. The timing measurements stay in your browser and
are not sent to us.
Session storage normally lasts for the browser tab's session; your browser may restore it when restoring a tab. The form's Start over button clears the previous form answers and scheduling references and starts a new inquiry. Some technical identifiers and timing measurements can remain until the tab's session ends or you clear this site's data in your browser settings. This storage is required for the form to work; if your browser blocks it, the form cannot continue to scheduling.
The Cal.com calendar
The calendar on the scheduling page is loaded from cal.com inside a frame. Cal.com may set its own cookies and browser storage there, such as security and session cookies, under the Cal.com privacy policy. Your browser settings may block or limit cookies in embedded frames.
Your controls and tracking signals
Because our pages use only storage needed for the form, there is no cookie banner or consent setting to manage. You can clear this site's data at any time in your browser settings. Our pages do not track you across other websites, so they do not respond differently to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Apart from the service providers named above, we do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity on our pages.
How long we keep information
- Session storage: for the browser tab's session, subject to your browser's tab-restoration behavior. Start over clears the previous form answers and scheduling references; browser settings let you clear all site data.
- The scrambled IP address used to limit repeated submissions: entries expire after about two minutes without use and are removed when the limiter next runs or the server process ends.
- Inquiry and booking records in our CRM: we do not currently delete these on a fixed schedule. We keep them while we reasonably need them for the purposes above, including our business records. You can ask us to delete them.
- Information held by our service providers is also kept under their own policies.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the form sends your answers without cookies or referrer information. No website, transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.
Your requests
You can email Privacy@midwestsiterecon.com to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep information when the law requires it. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights; we will respond as the law that applies to us requires.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please also read our Website Terms of Use.
